Robert Edward Sims

On September 12, 2017, we unexpectedly lost our son & brother, Bobby. He was a 2002 graduate of Weatherly High School and also attended Penn State University for four years as a Business Major. He was employed at The Pines Restaurant in Hazleton as a server. Bobby had a love for movies, enjoyed drawing but mostly loved the company of his friends and family.

Survived by his parents, Robert & Robin Sims, Weatherly, sister, April Walters & husband Brian, along with nephew, Brady, Weatherly and also several aunts, uncles & cousins. He is preceded in death by his beloved niece, Shayla Bird and grand parents.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations go directly to Jeffries funeral home.

He will always be remembered for his beautiful smile, infectious laughter, that sarcastic, dry sense of humor and giving nature. Only someone fighting his same demons, the drugs that are killing so many of our children, can understand how hard he tried to fight. If only our love could have saved you.... You will live on in our hearts and memories. If you or a loved one are suffering from addiction, there is help available. The epidemic that is infecting our communities has to stop. Please let your friends and families help you, no parent should have to bear this heartbreak.
