Robert C. Schock, age 85, of Lehighton, Pa., died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp.
Widower of Fern V. (Hill) Schock, who died in 1977.
A member of St. Peter's Union Church of Mantzville, Robert was a WWII Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theater.
He was a member of the Mahoning Fire Company, where Robert served with the fire police.
Robert retired from Consolidated Rail Co. in 1988 after 44 years, having worked as a rail inspector and repairman.
Born in New Mahoning, he was the son of the late Charles and Lulu (Tyson) Schock.
He is survived by his
One Daughter,
Eileen (Schock) Moyer wife of Vernon of Lehighton;
One Son,
Daryl Schock and his wife Margie of Tamaqua;
Four grandchildren, Eric Schock, Holly wife of Travis Heisler, Terry Moyer and his wife Lisa, and Craig Moyer and his wife Trina;
Four great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Haley, Brady, and Mason;
Preceded in death by his grand daughter, Denise C. Moyer on November 16, 1998.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte. #309 Snyders village, New Ringgold, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2012.
Funeral service will be at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 20, 2012, Rev. Cheryl L. Moore to officiate.
Interment with Military honors will be at St. Peter's Church Cemetery of Mantzville.
