Mr. Robert F "Bob" Laughlin, age 78, of Tamaqua, Pa., died Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Schuylkill Medical Center in Pottsville.
Bob had been employed by Bell Telephone and later Verizon as a service technician in Hazleton, retiring after 29 years of service.
He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Bob was a member of St Jerome R.C. Church of Tamaqua and the Tamaqua Elks.
Born in Schoentown, Schuylkill Cty., he was the son of the late Robert C. Laughlin and the late Sophia (Zucofski) Laughlin.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann E (Bickleman) Laughlin of Tamaqua
one daughter,
Roseann M (Laughlin) Heffner and her husband Keith of Orwigsburg
two sons,
Robert C Laughlin and
Thomas J Laughlin and his wife Donna, both of Tamaqua
four grandchildren
Christina, Joshua, Rebecca and Jenn
two great-grandchildren
KyLee and Eris.
Preceded in death by his sisters, Rosemarie Bayliff and Joann Marx.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 10:00AM at St. Jerome R.C. Church 264 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa., Reverend James C. Bechtel officiating.
No calling hours.
Private Interment at St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua.
