Robert "Bob" J. Gasser

Mr. Robert "Bob" J Gasser, age 60, of Cumberland Ave.,Tamaqua, died Monday, August 8, 2011, at St Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.
Bob, has been grocery manager for Redners at their Leesport Store for the past ten years, and had previously worked for Laneco for thirty years.
He was a member of the National Guard, Hazleton, Pa.
A 1968 Tamaqua High School graduate, Bob went on to earn his Associate Degree in Electronics from Lincoln Technical Institute.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Russell Gasser and the late Elizabeth (Smulligan) Gasser.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lois (Dougherty) Gasser;
One Son,
Joseph E. DeAngelo and his wife Laurie of Catasauqua
One Brother,
Donald Gasser and his wife Diane of Germansville
Brother-in-law,
Tom Dougherty and his wife Victoria of Allentown
Two Grandchildren,
Carly and Zachary DeAngelo
Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by his son, Andrew M. Gasser on 6-27-2009; brothers, Russell, Jr and DelMar Gasser.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 6-8 PM.
Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 8:00 PM at the funeral home, Reverend William Linkchorst officiating.
Private Interment.
