Robert "Bob" H. White

Mr. Robert H. "Bob" White, age 57, of Tamaqua, Pa., went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 13, 2010, at his home in Tamaqua, cared for by his loving wife of 18 years Donna (Stone) White.

A 1972 Central Bucks graduate, Bob earned an associates degree in food service and restaurant management from Bucks County Community College.

In April Bob, retired from the Pennsylvania State Department of Corrections, after serving for 18 years. He was last stationed at the Mahanoy State Prison, as a food service instructor.

Bob was a member of the Salem Bible Church of Macungie, Macungie V.F.W., Emmaus Fire Co, #2, Mercantile Club of Emmaus, Alburtis Rod & Gun Club, Doylestown Moose, Elks Lodge 1070 of Lambertville, NJ., and West Penn Rod & Gun Club.

Bob also served as a constable in Lehigh County during the mid-1980's.

Born in Abington, PA., he was the son of the late Frederick White and the late Edith (Hoagland) White, who died April 13, 2010.

He is survived by his wife, Donna M. (Stone) White;

Two Brothers,
Thomas Wayne White and his wife Donna, of Colmar, Pa.,
David W. White of Norristown, Pa.;

Nephew,John White, and nieces, Lisa Pan, and Amy;

Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley (Kachurak) White.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, May 16, 2010 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, May 17, 2010.

Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, May 17, 2010, Rev. Rick Goodman officiating.

Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua, Pa.
