Robert L. "Bobby" Fairchild

Robert (Bobby) L. Fairchild, 64, husband, father, brother, and grandfather of Buck Mountain, Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at home in the care of his wife after a courageous battle against cancer.
Born Wednesday, November 14, 1956 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania the son of the late Donald, and Arbutus (Poltrok) Fairchild.
Surviving are; his beloved wife of 46 years, JoAnn M. (Klynowsky) Fairchild; son, James R. Fairchild and his wife Jenn of Weatherly; daughter, Amy M. Brighthaupt wife of Danny of Drums; brother, Bruce Fairchild of Nanticoke; sisters, Donna Woodring of Hazleton, Wendi Fairchild of Freeland; grandchildren, Ryan James Fairchild, Dean Robert Fairchild; grand dogs, Sherman and "Angel" Norman; nieces and nephews.
Bobby worked as a dragline shovel and heavy equipment operator for the Jeddo Coal Company for 43 years. To all of his co-workers, he was known as "Smiley". He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed working outside on his property. Bobby had a great love for his own saw mill. With it, he cleared and milled lumber to create a home for his family.
Bobby and JoAnn began dating in 1972. Having a deep love for each other and quickly becoming best friends, they married in 1974. Together, Bobby and JoAnn created a life they loved. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew him.
