Robert O. "Bob" Davidson, 96 years of age of Brockton, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Born Saturday, December 26, 1925 in Brockton, the son of the late Robert E. and Leitha M. (Brachman) Davidson. Bob was also predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sara Jane (Jennings) Davidson on May 29, 2006; step mother, Beatrice (Barnisky) Davidson; brother, John E. "Jack" Davidson.
Surviving are; daughter, Janie D. Larsen and her husband Scott of Burnsville, MN; son, Robert J. Davidson and his wife Judy of Allentown, PA; grandchildren, Ash Larsen (Brea) of Lakeville, MN and Sydney McCardell (Jason) of Upper Marlboro, MD; great grandchildren, Maddie (17), Leila (8), Cade (3) of Lakeville, MN; sister, Beatrice L. Moore of Lehigh Valley, PA; nieces and nephews.
Bob attended Pottsville High School before graduating from Franklin & Marshall Academy in Lancaster, PA. Upon graduation, Bob entered Lehigh University; however, he was called to service as a member of the United States Marine Corp serving honorably in the Pacific Theater. Bob returned home to work for his family's business, Mount Carbon Brewery. Bob became president of the Brewery and served in that capacity until its sale to Yuengling in 1976. Bob then remained active in his ownership of Schuylkill Masonry Construction Company, Pottsville, PA until his retirement in 1991.
A devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Middleport, PA, Bob served as Church Council President for over 69 years. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing all his life. In his youth Bob enjoyed playing baseball and football, and later in life cheering from his favorite chair. A founding member of the Lone Pine Sportsman Club, and Moss Glen Rod & Gun Club. Bob served as Treasurer of the Brockton Fire Company for over 57 years, and was a member of the Middleport American Legion for over 74 years. A Mason, Bob held membership in the Lehigh Consistory Bloomsburg, and Rajah Temple of Reading.

A visitation will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday October 11, 2022 from 6 to 8:00 P.M., and then on Wednesday October 12, 2022 in church from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
Funeral Services will be held from St. Paul's Lutheran Church Shade & Willow Streets Middleport, Pennsylvania 17953 on Wednesday October 12, 2022 at 11 o'clock A.M., Rev. Peggy Sue Pfeffer to officiate.
Interment with Military Honors to be bestowed, will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania.
