Richard D. Simmons, 68 years of age of 201 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Orwigsburg Center in Orwigsburg.
Survived by his wife of forty years, Diane M. (Steele) Simmons; sons, Richard D. Simmons of Brockton, William J. Simmons of Middleport; daughter, Mrs. Linda J. Lockard wife of Tim of Nazareth; brother, David Simmons of Macungie; sisters, Esther Barron of Jacksonville, NC and Mrs. Lillian Feese wife of Fred of Bloomsburg; grand children, Aaron, Alyssa, and Collin.
A talented electrician, and carpenter, Richard worked in the construction field. He enjoyed Fishing.
Born Wednesday, July 28, 1948 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. the son of the late William J. Simmons, and Jennie E. (Shire) Simmons. he was also predeceased by a brother, William J. Simmons III.
