Richard C. Fairchild

Richard C. Fairchild, 86 years of age of Saw Mill Road, Lehigh Township, Weatherly, passed away on Sunday September 27, 2015 at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
Survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Betty J. (Roth) Fairchild, Richard is also survived by his daughters, Sherry K. Ridling and her husband Mark of Alaska, Brenda Mendofik of Myrtle Beach, SC., and Kay Radley of Georgia; grandchildren, Myles, and Sayde Ridling, Josh Phillips, and Jesse Radley; four great grandchildren.
A 1948 Weatherly High School graduate, Richard, retired from Cleveland Brothers - Caterpillar Dealership of Wilkes-Barre having worked as a Diesel Mechanic for 33 years. Prior to working for Cleveland Brothers, Richard worked at the Eckley Mines and on the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
A member of Masonic Lodge F&A.M. 467 White Haven, Richard was a founding member of the Flying Aces Motor Cycle Club of Rockport., and founding member of the Mountain Trail Riders Club of Weatherly.
Richard served as a Lehigh Township Supervisor for six years, and was a member of the L&L Sportsman Club of Laurytown, and L&L Fire Co..
Born in Leslie Run the son of the late Raymond, and Louise (Meiers) Fairchild, he was also preceded in death by a sister Mrs. Daisy Beers.
