Regina McClafferty, age 86, of Lafayette Ave.,Tamaqua, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Tamaqua.
Regina had previously worked for Atlas Powder Co.
She was a member of St. Jerome R.C.C. of Tamaqua.
Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late James Doris and the late Marie (McCall) Doris.
She is survived by her
one daughter,
Michelle (McClafferty) Leidy and her husband Michael of Allentown
one son, Joseph McClafferty of Tamaqua
one brother, Robert Doris and his wife Doris of New Jersey
one sister, Anna Curvey of Tamaqua
one grandchild, David Carroll and his wife Brenda
two great-grandchildren, James Bynon III and Madison Carroll.
Preceded in death by brothers, William, James, John, Paul and Joe; sister, Marie Tessitore.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 6-8 PM and on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 9:30-10:15 AM. Prayer Service at 10:15 AM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Jerome R.C. Church 264 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa., Reverend James C. Bechtel officiating.
Interment at the parish cemetery.
Mass Cards and Memorials in her honor may be sent to the church.
