Rebecca A. Kunkel

Rebecca Ann Kunkel, 93 years of age of Hazleton, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Heritage Hill Senior Living Center in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.　 Rebecca is survied by her husband of sixty-five years, Walter Frederick Kunkel; nieces, and cousins.　 Born Tuesday, April 14, 1925 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Harry A., and Stella (Drumtra) Gicking.　 A 1943 graduate of Hazleton High School, Rebecca matrculated to Kutztown State Teacher College. She was a talented piano player and organist. Rebecca was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church of Hazleton. Rebecca loved the state of Hawaii, where she and Walter visited over ten times for extended periods.　 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255.
