Randy began his career as an engineer at IBM in Fishkill, NY, before going on to work at EDO/Barnes Engineering as a Material Scientist designing Infra-Red detectors, which is where he met Marie. He enjoyed sharing his talents and experiences, and he could tell a good story by drawing upon a deep well of collected anecdotes.
Randy was an avid audiophile, keeping up on the latest in music trends and acquiring new equipment to achieve the best sound, and he owned and shared freely a large and varied CD collection. Many of his friends also benefited from receiving deals when he switched out components, cables, and speakers. His active and curious mind also pursued interests in art, books, movies, magic tricks and numismatics (coin collecting), and he assembled an impressive collection of these items that reflected his and Marie’s shared life perspective.
