Mr. Ralph Roy Krepfle, 90, of Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Heritage Hills in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
Widower of Alma Ann (Kerkenbush) Krepfle, "his one and only", who passed away on February 15, 2015, after nearly 67 years of marriage and raising 8 children in Potosi, WI. Ralph is survived by: sons, Keith R. Krepfle of Drums, PA, Michael Krepfle of Madison, WI and Robert Krepfle and his wife Stacy of Lakeville, MN; daughters: Mrs. Kay Leitzen, wife of Roger of Milaca, MN, Mrs. Ann Boyle, wife of Dr. Terry of Potosi, WI, Mrs. Patricia Reuter, wife of Brad of Potosi , WI and Mrs. Pam Burling, wife of Tim of Verona, WI. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive him.
Ralph worked as a certified personal financial planner for IDS for many years awarded as a top representative specializing in personal financial planning. Earlier, he worked at John Deere, Inc., Dubuque, IA, then as a manager for 25 years at Keehner Farm Implement, Potosi, WI. He often said it was very satisfying for him to help the hardworking local farmers stay productive and to keep top quality co-workers working full-time. He then enjoyed working for Pioneer Motors, Inc., Lancaster, WI for several years.
He served at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Potosi, WI, as an usher, cemetery committee member, member of the Parish Council and numerous other committees. He also served on the Village of Potosi board in various positions.
In his youth, he played Major League baseball with the Chicago Cub's affiliate, remaining a devoted lifelong Cubs fan. He pitched semi-pro fast pitch for many years for a side income and later, took pride serving as a referee in competitive high school basketball games and as an umpire in baseball/softball. In his golden years, he thoroughly enjoyed golfing at Lancaster Country Club and other various Midwest and FL golf courses with his sons and golfing buddies. He supported his children in their very many sports events wholeheartedly, going to every game he possibly could, from amateur to professional levels.
Born Thursday, April 30, 1925 in ElkPort , Iowa, the second son of the late Joseph and C. Pearl (Harbaugh) Krepfle. He is also predeceased by his brother Richard Krepfle, sister Mary Alice Krepfle, son Raymond in 2013 and step-grandson Matthew Boyle. Private Arrangements entrusted to the Philip J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson, Wisconsin at 11 o'clock A.M., Father Richard Leffler officiating on June 10, 2016. Friends shall be received in church from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.
Interment St. Andrews R.C.C. Cemetery, Tennyson, WI. Details for his Celebration of Life will be announced later.
