Gene "Mike" R Lease, husband, father, and grandfather, age 80, of New Ringgold, Pa., died Sunday, January 20, 2013, at St Joseph's Medical Center in Reading, Pa.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosamond M. (Bauer) Lease.
Gene was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School and retired in 1992 as a foreman from Carpenter Technology Corp., Reading, Pa. after 32 years of service.
He enjoyed crosswords and was an avid Nascar and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Clarence Lease and the late Mary E. (Goetz) Lease.
He is also survived by his
One Son,
Michael A Lease of Muhlenberg Park, Pa.;
Three grandchildren, Alyssa M., Tara L. and Amy N.;
Four great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie M. Rivers in 2007; grandson, Shane K. Rivers in 2008; brother, Carl Lease; and sister, Virginia Mertz.
Private Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa.
Interment at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
