Pierre J. "Pete" Curtis, of Stage Coach Road Weatherly, Pennsylvania, beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran and patriot passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at home at 88 years of age, while in the tender care of his wife of 49 years Helen M. (Tiedeman) and his children.
Born in LaRochelle France the son of the late Francis, and Margurerite (Tourancheau) Curtis. Pierre was also predeceased by; daughter, Deneen Hittinger, sisters, Madeline Delanoue, Gladys Scharff; brothers, Roger, and Frank Curtis.
Surviving are; daughters, Diane E. Johnston of Philadelphia, Renee M. Strizak wife of John of Weatherly, Michelle L. Molinaro of Weatherly; sons, John J. Williams and his wife Terri of White Haven, Michael J. Williams and his wife Deborah of White Haven, 19 grand children; 11 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive Pierre.
Pierre served honorably in the United States Army, and was a member of the Weatherly American Legion Post # 360 for over 36 years where he was a member of the Military Honors Detail which paid tribute to his deceased comrades. Pierre retired as Maintenance Superintendent from the former Hazleton State Hospital, and previously worked for Hazle Builders.
Pierre absolutely adored his grandchildren, they were a big part of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman, Pierre enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, shooting and walks in the woods collecting cans. He loved his cats. He was proud of his French Heritage returning many times to his native country.
Pierre was all around amazing guy, John Wayne guru, and handyman to all.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 19, 2021 at 11 o'clock from the funeral home. Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Military honors will be bestowed at Union Cemetery Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
