Phyllis J. Kobal, mother, grammy, sister, 85 years of age, formerly of Andreas, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown where she had been a guest for the past few years.
Widow of Paul B. Kobal, Sr. who passed away on January 10, 1999, she is survived by; sons, Paul B. Kobal, Jr. and his wife Mary of Orefield, Joel Kobal and his wife Marilyn of Andreas; brother, Bruce Steigerwalt and his wife Joyce of Bowmanstown; sisters, Mrs. Elaine Sauers of Andreas, Mrs. Janice Jech of New Ringgold; grand children, Mrs. Kristen Fox and her husband Darryl, and Mrs. Stephanie Koenig, Esquire and her husband Peter; great grandchild, Mason Fox.
A graduate of Lehighton High School, Phyllis had worked at the former Scotty's Fashions of Lehighton. She was an active member of Ben Salem U.C.C. of Lehighton, and a member of the Red Hatters.
Born Friday, July 10, 1931 in Andreas, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Irvin, and Mabel (Hartman) Steigerwalt. she was also predeceased by; sister, Mrs. Mae Womer; brothers, A. Ernest, Hilbert, Kurt, and Dewey Steigerwalt.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 2066 West Penn Pike, rte. #309, New Ringgold, Pennsylvania 17960. (570) 386-5884.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home, Rev. Michael McGowan to officiate. Friends shall be received on Thursday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment will be in Ben Salem Cemetery, Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
