Mr. Phaeon E. Rarick, age 93, of Arlington Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Fritizinger Senior Living Center in Drums, Pa.
Phaeon was a 1933 Tamaqua High School graduate, and served in the United States Army during WWII.
He retired from the U.S. Postal service, in 1977 after working 27 years as a mail carrier in Tamaqua.
Phaeon, was a member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua, where he belonged to the church Brotherhood, and had served as Treasurer of the church. As a member of the Tamaqua Senior Citizens, Phaeon had also once served as their treasurer.
Born in Tamaqua, he was the son of the late Edward Harvey and Catherine (Gilfert) Rarick.

William G. Rarick and his wife Grace of Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Donald P. Rarick and his wife Carol of Drums, Pa.
Kenneth P. Rarick and his wife Lynn of Pittsburgh, Pa.
One Brother,
Mr. Paul Rarick of Nesquehoning, Pa.
Five grandchildren
Two great-grandchildren
Preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Scheirer) Rarick, who died November 15, 2008; brothers, Ernest, Howard, and Gordon Rarick; sister, Lillian Rarick.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, March 21, 2009.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 21, 2009, Rev. David W. Grant officiating.
Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, Pa.
