PETROLE, Peter C. age 52, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Tresckow, PA died suddenly on April 8, 2012.
Peter was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Julie Sarmanian, loving father to son Peter F. and wife Katie Petrole, of Northampton, PA and daughter Kyra Leigh Petrole, of Canandaigua, NY, and grandfather to Bella and Brooklyn Petrole. Peter’s companion, King James, the cat, misses his buddy.
Peter is also survived by his mother Esther, predeceased father Peter, siblings Gary & Maryann Petrole, Janice & Mike Canzler, Gina & Gary Balash, Chris & Amy Petrole, Lori & Rich Dudek, Gerry & Tina Petrole and Cindy & Craig Deitz and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving in-laws Jack & Sandy Sarmanian and David, Donna, Nicholas and Sammy Sarmanian.
Peter was a successful service manager for Andersen Windows. He is remembered very warmly by his many colleagues and customers. Peter was an active member of his community’s board of directors.
Peter was an avid outdoorsman who savored the earth’s gifts. He loved camping, hunting, hiking, fishing, beach time, boating, biking, skiing and peacefully watching wildlife. Peter designed and built an artisan backyard fence that, along with his landscaping, arborist and gardening skills, created a backyard sanctuary that was home to family, friends and the birds. Peter was a master craftsman whose talents included carpentry and fine woodworking.
Peter touched many lives in profound ways. With family and friends, he could be found playing golf in the dewy morning, watching baseball in the afternoon sun and cheering on his Jets at night. Peter is remembered for his enormous heart, endless stories, infectious laugh, sincerity and spontaneity. Peter was always ready to extend a helping hand to any relative, friend or neighbor in need.
Peter enriched the lives of countless friends and family. His loss is countered by many rich memories.
The laughs were many and the love will endure.
Viewing will be held Thursday, April 12 from 6-8 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803.
Pennsylvania Arrangements are being handled by the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, PA.
A Mass will be offered on Friday, April 13 at 1 pm at Church of All Saints, 36 E. Washington St., McAdoo, PA., Reverend Minner to officiate.
Interment will take place Monday, April 16 at 12:30 pm at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
