Pennsylvania State Trooper, Peter K. Conforti, 30, of Walker Township was called home by his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 31st. He was a beloved husband to his wife, Dr. Alexandra (Wagner) Conforti, and a doting father to his one-year old son, Abram C. Conforti. His parents, Michael J. and Robin H. Conforti, of Andreas, PA, raised him to be the compassionate soul that everyone remembers him to be. Peter was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and collector of antler sheds. He was happiest when he could be in the woods, spending time checking on his trail cameras and sharing his finds with his family members. When he wasn’t in the woods, he was by his family’s side. His perfect day off included spending time with his beloved wife and their son Abram, going on a walk with his family, going out for dinner and ending the day with ice cream and a campfire. He will be best remembered for his family values, investing in others, and building meaningful friendships. Peter truly enjoyed the companionship, not only of his family, but of his two golden retrievers Gracie and Lucy.
As a 2012 graduate of Tamaqua Area high school, he was a four year varsity football starter, homecoming king and a class officer. Peter then continued his education at Misericordia University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He started his dedicated career as a Pennsylvania State Trooper when he graduated in October of 2016 as a member of the 146th Cadet class. Peter was an active member of The Bridge Church and continued the family tradition of being a member of the Little Schuylkill Lions Club.
Peter was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Horst and Ute Lautier, and paternal grandparents Rosemarie & Mario Conforti. He is survived by his wife and son; siblings Michael Conforti (husband of Kelly) and Rosemarie Hamer (wife of Christopher). Peter was a dedicated and loving uncle to his three nephews Liam, Octavian and Adriel. Peter has been a member of Craig and Karen Wagner’s family for the past 13 years and was an older brother to his two sisters-in-law, Julianna and Elizabeth. Family and friends are encouraged to come to The Bridge Church in Hamburg, PA, on Sunday, August 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 5th at The Bridge Church located at 3561 Old Route 22 Hamburg, PA 19526. A private internment will be in Zion UCC Cemetery in Lewistown Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted that will be distributed between Abram’s future education, a scholarship for Tamaqua Area High School, and in support of the Blue Raiders Football team. Please make checks out to Alexandra Conforti with a memo where funds should be distributed. The address is 1108 Shady Lane, Tamaqua, PA 18252.
