Peggy Ann Hoben - Rita
April 24, 1934 — June 14, 2015
Peggy Ann Hoben - Rita, 81 years of age of Coaldale, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the home of her son Bob and his wife Roxeanne, her caregivers in Walker Township.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Robert B. Hoben, Sr. in 1984.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Robert J. Rita; sons, Robert B. Hoben, Jr. and his wife Roxanne of Walker Twp., Kevin D. Hoben and his wife Ann of Gilbert, Az.; brothers, Donald Shelton and his wife Rosemary of Florida, William Shelton and his wife Irene of Lancaster; sisters, Mrs. Connie Triance of Rochester, PA , Mrs. Mary VanArt of Denver, PA; grand children; Shaleen, Shannon and her husband Matt, Shanna, Myranda, and Kevin; and three step-grandchildren, step-sons, Robert and Anthony Rita; step-daughter, Kristen Rita. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.
Peggy was also preceded in death by; sister, Miss Ethel Shelton; brothers, Charles, Richard, and Bobby Shelton
A Nesquehoning High School graduate, Peggy was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua. She worked at the former Atlas Powder Company of Reynolds for many years. Peggy was an avid baker, and took great pride in maintaining a beautiful home.
Born Tuesday, April 24, 1934 in Mount Airy, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Clyde, and Gertrude (Estep) Shelton
Private Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation services, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
Interment will be in Sky- View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
