Paul E. Tyson

Paul E. Tyson, age 96, of Ardmore Ave., Tamaqua, died Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Mahoning Valley Nursing Home in Lehighton.
He was the husband of the late Dardanella M. (Shellhammer) Tyson, who died on Nov. 16, 2000.
Paul worked as an auto mechanic for the former Kovich and Erbe Garages of Tamaqua for 31 years.
A member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp., Paul also belonged to the West Penn Rod & Gun Club, for he enjoyed hunting, and the Grundsow Lodge #8 of Ashfield.
Born in New Mahoning, he was the son of the late William and the late Agnes (Hartung) Tyson.
He is survived by his
One Son,
David P. Tyson and his wife Linda of Tamaqua;
One Brother,
Nelson Tyson of Schnecksville;
Three grandchildren
Four great-grandchildren
Four great-great grandchildren;
Nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers, Edgar, Claude, and Earl Tyson; sisters, Mrs. Lulu M. Schock, Mrs. Arlene Turner, Mrs. Helen Boyd, Mrs. Hilda Troxell, and Miss Mammie Tyson.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2012, from Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp..
Funeral service will be at Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp. at 11 o'clock AM Tuesday, February 21, 2012, Rev. Michael A. Frost to officiate.
Interment will be at Zion Stone Church Cemetery of West Penn Twp.
