Paul Maliniak, 92 years of age of Ye Old Hauto Road Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2018, at home while in the care of his daughter, Melanie Preschutti and her husband Joseph.
Born Sunday, September 5, 1926 in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania son of the late Sophoran and Mildred (Chowanski) Maliniak he was also preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years, Catherine "Kay" (Kononchuk) Maliniak on October 27, 2017; son, David Maliniak in 1975; sisters, Ann Maliniak, Mary James; brothers, John, Peter, and Stephen Maliniak.
In addition to his daughter, Paul is survived by grandson, Jessie Weidaw and great grandson David Weidaw.
A graduate of Nesquehoning High School, Paul retired from the former Bundy Tubing of Hometown. A devoted member of St. Mary's Orthodox Church of Coaldale, Paul also belonged to the Russian Club. A tournament level Bowler, Paul was a talented carpenter, building the home he shared with Kay and their family. Paul was an avid gardener and served as Judge of Elections in Rush Twp. for many years.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 28, 2018 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Sky-View Memorial Park 149 Lafayette Ave. Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. Rev. James Weremedic to officiate.
