Paul F. Katona, Jr.,son, husband, father, and grandfather, 58 years of age of Philadelphia, formerly of Weatherly, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born Friday, May 23, 1958 in Philadelphia, he is survived by his father, Paul F. Katona, Sr. and his wife Carolyn of Hazle Twp., and mother, Joan D. (Kuriger) Rogers of Florida. In addition to his parents surviving are; his wife Kathy Lynn (Karle) Katona of Philadelphia; sons, Paul F. Katona, III, of Philadelphia, Anthony Katona and his wife Sybil of McAdoo, Jerry Killian of Philadelphia; daughters, Kathy Adams of Barnesville, Stephanie Corra of Hazleton; Siblings, Mrs. Lisa Startzel wife of Raymond of Phoenix Arizona, Mrs. Ellen Ferra of Elizabethtown, Mrs. Colleen Swift wife of Tim of Holland, Pa., Mrs. Kathleen Moore wife of Joseph of Medford, NJ, Mr. James Rogers and his wife Amy of Marlton, NJ., Mrs. Joanne Walters wife of John of St. Augustine, Fl., Mrs. Rebecca Ludwig wife of Donald of New Ringgold, Mr. Martin Rogers and his wife Amy of Athens, GA, and Mr. Richie Causey and his wife Penny of Conway, Sc.; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Many nieces, and nephews also survive Paul.
A roofer by trade, Paul was a member of the Flying Ace's Motor Cycle Club of Weatherly.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255. (570) 427-4231.
A Funeral service will be conducted at 7 o'clock PM on Tuesday December 6, 2016 from the funeral home, Rev. Rodney Murphy to officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at the funeral home.
Private interment Union Cemetery, Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
