Paul M. Gerber, father and grandfather, great grandfather age 92, of New Ringgold, died Sunday, January 6,2013, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg, Pa.
Widower of Leah M. (Deem) Gerber, who died on October 27, 2005.
A carpenter by trade from 1946 until 1983, Paul was a life member of Zion Stone Church of New Ringgold.
He served in the United States Army during WWII as a medic in Rome and North Africa, earning the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, American Theater Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, and WWII Victory Medal.
Paul was a member of C.H. Berry American Legion Post #173 of Tamaqua.
Born in West Penn Twp., he was the son of the late Mahlon and the Katie (Clause) Gerber.
He is survived by his

Nancy (Gerber) Uhlig wife of Peter, Sr. of New Ringgold,
Kathy (Gerber) Gill and her husband Robert of Nesquehoning;
One Brother,
Ralph Gerber and his wife Elda of Snyders;
Five grandchildren, Nicole, Peter, Jr., Kristen, Kerri, and Robert Paul;
Three great grandchildren, Alaina, Robert, and Matthew;
Preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Lois (Gerber)Steigerwalt; brother, Lloyd Gerber.

Interment with Military Honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemnetery of Annville, Pa.
