Patrick Joseph Kotula, 75 years of age of Mary D, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at home while in the care of his beloved wife of 38 years Judy (Zulick) Kotula.
Born Tuesday, May 20, 1947 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania the son of the late Anthony A., and Agnes T (Bernett) Kotula. Pat was also predeceased by; sister Florence Yasenchock.
Surviving in addition to his wife are; son, Anthony P. Kotula and his husband Jon Meade of McClean, VA.; sister, Nelle Stremick and her husband John; step children, William Vacula and his wife Joann Kellner, Judith Vacula and her husband Jesse Ansbach; grandchildren, Joshua Vacula and his wife Katie, Rachel Foster, Ryan Foster, Rebecca Ansbach, Rowan Ansbach; great grandchild, Lucas Vacula. Nieces and nephews also survive Pat.
A 1965 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Pat matriculated to East Stroudsburg College earning his teaching degree in elementary education. Pat taught in the Pleasant Valley School District for 35 years, and earned his Master of Education while teaching.
An avid outdoorsman, Pat enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the companionship of his many Labrador's. Pat was also a talented artist. He was a member of St. Richards R.C.C. of Barnesville, where he sang in the church choir for many years. Pat also belonged to Father Henry Baker, Knights of Columbus.

A Celebration of Pat's Life will be held on Wednesday May 17, 2023 at 11 o'clock A.M. from St. John XXIII R.C.C. of 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252
Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in St. Bertha's R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
