Miss Patricia A Menconi, age 86, of Tamaqua, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va.
Pat retired from Atlas Powder Company after 40 years of service as a Benefits Coordinator in Human Resources and clerical.
She was a member of St Jerome R.C. Church of Tamaqua where she served as President of the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
She was a graduate of Tamaqua Area High School.
Born in Seek, she was the daughter of the late Charles Menconi and the late Anna (Barry) Menconi.
She is survived by her
two sisters,
Eleanor A. Moneta of Tamaqua and Annette Shamus and her husband Michael of Gainesville, VA
nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine Williams, Virginia Coll, Phyllis Dunsavage, Elizabeth Menconi and Ethel McLaughlin; brothers, James, John and Robert Menconi.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 6-8PM and on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 9:30-10:30AM with morning prayer at 10:15.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 11:00AM at St. Jerome R.C. Church 264 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa., Reverend James C. Bechtel officiating.
Private interment at St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua.
Mass Cards and Memorials in her honor may be sent to the church.
