Otto John Barbush Jr. 91 years of age of First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital  in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Joan N. (Chisnell) Barbush. They had a fairytale life of love that few could even dream of having.
Daughter, Bonita Barbush Urban wife of Nicholas, Weatherly; sons, Barry M. Barbush of York and his fiancé Marybeth Cauley, John O. Barbush and his wife Lisette of Woodland Hills, CA,; sister, Madelyn Zappa of Las Vegas, NV; grand children, Bradley Boothe, Jeremy Boothe, Dr. Gregory Barbush, Rebecca Barbush, Alec Barbush, Noah Barbush,  Skylar Barbush; great grand children Sara and McKenzie Boothe, Marshall Boothe, and Lucas and Magdalene Barbush; Nieces, Janine Romano and Marissa Zappa.
Born Tuesday, July 13, 1926 in Weatherly, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Otto Barbush, Sr., and Mildred (DeSanto) Barbush.
Otto graduated from Weatherly High School Class of 1944, and then served honorably in the United States Navy in WWII.  He ran Otto’s Barber Shop with his dad until 1966, then worked at the White Haven Center until his retirement in 1986.He has spent most of his time volunteering where he felt he was most needed. He served as president of the Weatherly Little League; was a member of the Weatherly Area Community Chest as well as its President and drive co-chairman; served two terms as Weatherly Lions Club president and received the Melvin Jones Award for excellence in Lionism. He was a board member and volunteer for the Hazleton Red Cross, was a member of the Weatherly Area PTA, and was the proud recipient of the 2011 Mauch Chunk Trust Community Heroes Award.In May of 2013, Otto was given an award by the Weatherly Area High School Alumni Association for his many years in support of that organization.  In November of 2014, he was made an honorary lifetime member of the Weatherly Ambulance Association, having served 35 years on the board. Otto also drove limousine after retirement, and helped along with his wife with the American Cancer Society’s support group, “Surviving Together”.  Otto had many friends and loved people. He loved his little town of Weatherly. Otto, also loved his Angel the family bichon and she adored her Pop.

Memorial Services for Otto J. Barbush who passed away on June 4, 2018 will be held on Saturday July 28, 2018 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Centenary United Methodist Church 30 Carbon Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255. Military honors will be bestowed.
