Mr. Oliver J. Angelus, Sr., age 95, of Great Oakes Drive Lake Hauto, Nesquehoning, Pa., died Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa.
A 1933 Tamaqua High School graduate, Oliver served in the United States Army during WWII.
He was a member of St. Jerome R.C.C., Tamaqua Italian Club, and Son's of Italy.
Retiring from the former Slatington Lamp Company having worked in the Labs, he previously had worked for Trojan Powder of Catasauqua, Parish Steel of Hamburg, and L.C.& N #14 Colliery of Coaldale.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and the late Esther (DiGirolomo) Angelus.
He is survived by his

Nancy (Angelus) Totani wife of Nicholas,
Rose Marie Angelus both of Nesquehoning, Pa.;
One Son,
Mr. Oliver J. Angelus of Allentown;
One Sister,
Doris (Angelus) Yeager of Naples, Fl.;
Four grandchildren;
Five great grandchildren;
Preceded in death by his wife Rose H. (Forte) Angelus on Sept 16, 2004; brothers, Harry and Adloph "Yates" Angelus, Joseph Fabrizo; step-father, Vincent Fabrizio
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Jerome R.C.C. at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 26, 2009, Reverend James C. Bechtel officiating. Call from 10-11 A.M. on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at the church.
Interment with Military Services, will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.
