Nora M Smith, age 93, of Mosier Rd., Wyalusing, Pa., formerly of Weatherly, went peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Towanda Memorial Hospital, Towanda, Pa.
She was the widow of William E. Smith who passed away on 11-8-1987.
Nora was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Weatherly where she was very active.
She was a graduate of Summit Hill High School.
Nora held various jobs throughout her life but most important to her was her faith and family.
Born in Summit Hill, she was the daughter of the late Robert McLaughlin and the late Rebecca (Edwards) McLaughlin.
She is survived by her
Two Sons,
Wayne W Smith and his wife Mary Jean of Wyalusing and
Gerald "Jerry" R Smith and his special friend Delores Younker of Weatherly;
Four granddaughters,
Christina Smith (Eden Berrigan), Kelly Andrus (Jason George), Kerry Altieri (Louis Altieri), and Kimberly Dotter;
Nine great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her brothers, John and Robert; sisters, Anne J. McLaughlin, Margaret Deisenroth, and Marian Weston.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First St., Weatherly, Pa.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2 o'clock PM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church 335 Third St., Weatherly, PA 18255, Pastor Dawn Richie to officiate.
Interment at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
Memorials in her honor may be sent to the church.
