Nicola A. "Nic" Kalchick-Ferrara

Nicola A. "Nic" Kalchick-Ferrara, 43 years of age of Mahanoy Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident Friday evening December 18, 2015 in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
A 1990 Hazleton High School graduate, Nic served honorably for eleven years in the United States Air force, having been stationed in Minot, ND as a Staff Sergeant. She attended Kutztown University studying Library Science. Nic enjoyed flipping houses, shopping, and traveling. She was a dog lover.
Nic was a warehouse supervisor for Cargill Corporation, Wilbur Chocolate Division in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her;
Husband, John S. Ferrara, Jr. of Phillipsburg, New Jersey; son, Michael P. Dunphy of Tamaqua; daughters, Jordan T. Kalchick of York, Michaela M. Waldrop of Catasauqua, Devon M. Waldrop of Tamaqua; sisters, Evelyn Kalchick, Mrs. Caroline J. McFadden wife of Rick of Berwick, Crystal Kalchick of Williamstown; Six grand children, Nicholas, Jason, Seth, Trevor, Klaus, and Nico; Three nephews.;
Preceded in death by a brother, Nicholas R. Kalchick, III.
Born Wednesday, August 30, 1972 in Somerville, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Nicholas Kalchick of Sheppton.

A Gathering of Friends shall occur from 10:30 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday December 26, 2015 at 12 o'clock noon from the funeral home.
Interment with Military Honors at Odd Fellows Cemetery Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
