Nicholas J Piller, age 81, of Old 209 Rd., "Newkirk" section of Tamaqua, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at St Lukes Miners Memorial in Coaldale.
He was a member of St. Jerome R.C.C of Tamaqua and a graduate of St. Jerome High School.
Nicholas had been employed by PPL of Lancaster as a lineman for 20 years and he retired from Atlas Powder, Clamtown.
He was an Army veteran.
Nicholas was a member of the Catholic War Vets of Middleport and he enjoyed fishing.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late John Piller and the late Regina (Soos) Piller.
He is survived by his Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony, John and Nicholas Piller, Jr.; sisters, Genevieve Quinn, Elizabeth Bubel and Margaret Versteeg.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 10 o'clock AM at St. Jerome R.C.C. 264 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa., Reverend John Frink to officiate.
Interment at St. Bartholomew's Cemetery, Brockton, Pa.
