Nelson P. Bray, husband, father, grandfather, brother, 73 years of age of Owl Creek Road Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Blue Mountain Health Systems Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
Survived by his wife of fifteen years, Margaret D. "Peggy" (Garra) Bray; son, Shawn M. Bray and his wife Victoria of Strausstown, PA,; daughter, Mrs. Jill A. Suter wife of John of Salisbury Township, PA,; step-sons, Dan Trout of Wilkes-Barre, Pa, and Nick Trout and his wife Diana of Harrisburg, Pa.; sister, Mrs. Shirley DeFrates of Philadelphia, PA.; eight grandchildren.
A graduate of William Allen High School, Nelson retired as a mechanic from U.P.S. Hometown Depot after twenty-five years of services. He was handy and enjoyed collecting and antiquing.
Born Sunday, November 22, 1942 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Howard, and Margaret (Neidig) Bray. Nelson was also predeceased by sisters, Mrs. Verletta Reed, Mrs. Emily Beachel, and Mrs. Joan Gehman; brothers, Bryan, and Reuel Bray.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550.
A Funeral service will be at 11 o'clock A.M. on Monday July 25, 2016 from the funeral home. Friends shall be received at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
