Nancy J. (Frey) Remaley, age 83, of Maple Street, Weatherly, Pa., died Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Lehigh Valley Hopital, Salisbury Twp.
A Weatherly High School graduate, Nancy earned her R.N. from the Hazleton General Hospital School of Nursing.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. of Weahterly. Nancy was a former President of the Weatherly Senior Citizen, a member of the Citizens Fire Co. #1, Grey Ladies of Weatherwood, Beaver Meadows Seniors, and helped at the Nutirtion Ctr in Weatherly.
Born in Weatherly, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Nora (Gallagher) Frey.
She is survived by cousins; friends; and care provider, Melanie Zacharias, and family.
Preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, William L. Remaley, who died Feb. 11, 2000.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D.
The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. 318 Plane St. Weatherly, Pa., from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, December 10, 2011.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Loudes R.C.C. at 11 o'clock AM Saturday, December 10, 2011, Rev. Floyd Caesar.
Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.
Memorials in her honor: to Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C., or The Richard D. Knepper Memorial Fund in care of Citizens Fire Company #1 Weatherly, Pa. 18255.
