Nancy E. Gerber

Nancy E. (Klotz) Gerber, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, 86 years of age, Tamaqua, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.

Born Wednesday, August 24, 1938 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Henry J., and Ethel (Nahf) Klotz.  Nancy was also predeceased by; husband, Melvin O. Gerber; sons, Todd H., and Mel Scott Gerber.

Surviving are daughters, Pamela J. Henderson of Harrisburg, Kim N. Ruch wife of Duane of Andreas, Kelly Gerber of Tamaqua, brother, Richard Klotz; sister, Jean Kistler; grandchildren, Melanie, Zachary, Samantha, Tyler, Kyle, Hunter, Todd, Andrew, Linsey and 17 great grandchildren.

A 1956 Tamaqua High School graduate, Nancy worked as a hairdresser for many years at Zollinger’s in Allentown and then went into the textile industry. Nancy enjoyed camping and looked forward to summer days spent at the Bungalow Pool
in Tamaqua. She devoted her life to caring for her family and especially loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nancy was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Tamaqua.

A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held on Friday October 18, 2024 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home. Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.

Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
