Myrtle May (Parsons) Gimbi , 98 of Weatherly, Pennsylvania died on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Weatherwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Ctr.
Widow of the late Allison Gimbi, and William J. Gross.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Susan, wife of Larry Stritz, Debbie, wife of Carlos Ortega, Donnie Gower, John Gower and his wife Wanda, Roy Gower and his wife Sandy, Kate Paup wife of John, Bob Gross and his wife Mary, Bill Gross and his wife Jan, Jim Gross, Ted Gross and his wife Janet, Susan Geckle wife of Joe, and Sandy Sweitzer wife of Jon; Twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
In addition to her husbands, she is preceded in death by, daughter, Wilma J. Gower; son, William J. Gross; sister, Mrs. Jane Gimbi; two infant brothers.
A member of Zion Lutheran Church of Weatherly, Myrtle was a fabulous baker who left many a good recipe to her family who she adored. As a young adult, she was a mid-wife, and worked in the restaurant industry.
Born Wednesday, July 21, 1915 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late George and Myrtle (Llewellyn) Parsons.
A Funeral service will be at 11 o'clock A.M. on Friday May 16, 2014 at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services located at 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255.
Friends shall be received from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
