Mr. Myron M. Metrick, age 50,of Hazleton, Pa., died suddenly, Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Hazleton General Hospital in Hazleton, Pa.
A 1977 Hazleton High School graduate, attended Penn State University, and had worked at Altadis Coporation of McAdoo for 30 years in the maintenance department.
Byzantine by faith, Myron was an avid golfer.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Mackin) Metrick.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mrs. Diane Corey- Metrick;
One Daughter,
Amanda K. Metrick of Hazleton;
Two Sons,
Brian D. Corey and his wife Christine of Monroe, N.C.
Nathan A. Corey of Hazleton;
One sister,
Marilyn (Metrick) wife of John Yanek of Allentown;
One Brother,
Andrew Metrick and his wife Claudia of Allentown;
Two grandchildren, Colin, and Mila.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./Sup,
The family will receive friends from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home, 542 - 544 North Wyoming Street Hazleton, Pa. 18201, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 2, 2010 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 3, 2010.
Office of Christian Burial will be at The Bonin Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 3, 2010, Rev. James Demko officiating.
Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery, Beaver Meadow, Pa.
