Mrs. Mildred E. (Christman) Henninger, age 92, formerly of Clamtown, Tamaqua, Pa., died Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at Mahoning Valley Nursing Homes in Lehighton, Pa.. Widow of the late Wallace L. Henninger, who died in 1994.

Mildred was a member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn Townshiip, where she taught Sunday School, and was a former Secretary of the Church Women's Assoc.. She was a member of the Eastern Star Pilgram Chapter 137 of Tamaqua, Pa., Order of the Independent Americans of Clamtown, Pa., Golden Agers of Mahoning Twp..

A 1933 Slatington High School graduate, Mildred retired from Tami Sportswear of Tamaqua having worked as a Machine Operator from 1969 thru 1984. Previously, she worked in the cafeteria, at West Penn Elementary School in New Ringgold, Pa.

Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late James and the Adelaide (Smith) Christman.

She survived by her

Two Daughters,
Mrs. Kay L. (Henninger) Behle wife of Richard D. of Boyertown, Pa.
Mrs. Ruth Ann (Henninger) Tucker wife of Will of Trout Creek, Mont.

One Son,
Mr. Lee H. Henninger and his wife Nancy of Slatington, Pa.

Daughter-in-law, Donna Henninger of Treichlers, Pa.

Ten grandchildren
Twenty great-grandchildren
One great-great-grandchild

Preceded in death by her son, Donald L. Henninger; Brothers, Gordon,Carl, Bill and Harold Christman; sister, Mrs. Erma (Christman) Henry, Mrs. Florence (Christman) Guydish

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa.,

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, January 17, 2008,a t Zion Stone Church of West Penn Township.

Funeral service will be at Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp. at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 17, 2008 , Rev. Michael A. Frost
officiating.

Interment in the church cemetery.
