Mildred T. Harahus

Mrs. Mildred T. "Millie" Harahus, 93 years of age of Van Gelder Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.

The widow of George Harahus who passed away on March 13, 2000, she is survived by; daughter Gigi wife of Paul Long of Whitehall; son, Craig Harahus and his fiancée Suzi Welebob of Weatherly; five grandchildren, Shelly wife of Brad Deifer, Leslie wife of Jason Tremlett, Stephanie Phillips, Craig Harahus and his companion Tracy, John Harahus and his wife Lindsay; ten great grandchildren, Zachary, Elijah, Wyatt, Lucas, Griffin, Evan, Parker, Farah, Jesse, Joshua, and haylee; sister, Mrs. Mary L. Garrison of Hershey; brother, Mr. John Marcin and his wife Frances of Tamaqua; in-laws Mrs. Ann Marcin, and Mr. Louis Erbe, and many nieces, and nephews also survive her.

A graduate of St. Jerome's High School, she was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua.

Millie had worked for the former Atlas Powder Company for ten years, and then as a demonstrator for Coca Cola retiring from the former Jamesway dept. store.

Millie was fun and generous, and a one of a kind lady who was always the life of a party. She was loved by all who knew her, and her family meant the world to her. She will be missed by all.

Born Saturday, March 10, 1923 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Michael A., and Bernetta (Stahler) Marcin she was also predeceased by sisters, Mrs. Dolores A. "Boots" Erbe, Mrs. Grace Faust; brother, Joseph Marcin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday August 25, 2016 at 10 o'clock AM from St. John XXIII R.C.C. located at 266 West Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

Interment St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
