Mildred D. Briese

Mrs. Mildred D. (Heiney) Briese, age 90, of Sixth Street Weatherly, Pa., died Friday, January 7, 2011, at Hazleton General Hospital in Hazleton.

Mildred retired from Sear's of Hazleton having served as A customer service specialist. She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Weatherly, and the Weatherly Senior Citizens.

Born in Weatherly, she was the daughter of the late George and Lucy (Hinkle) Heiney.

She is survived by her

Two Daughters,
Bonnie (Briese) Gerhard wife of Donald of Warnersville,
Linda A. Briese of Weatherly, with whom she resided;

One Sister,
Verna (Heiney) Gerhard of Weatherly;

One grandson, Keith A. Gerhard, and his wife Theresa;

Companion, Arthur Martin Briese of Weatherly;

Preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Martin Briese on April 6, 1993; brothers, Harold, and George Heiney.

Arrangements are being handled by PhilipJ. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./Sup. where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 12, 2011.

Memorial Service to be held at the PhilipJ. Jeffries Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 12, 2011, Mr. Charles Engelhart to officiate.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
