Michael John Savlik, husband, father, brother, and grandfather, of New Ringgold, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 while in the care of his wife of thirty two years, at the age of 78.
In addition to his wife Barbara Jean (VanSlyke) Savlik, Michael is survived by; son, Michael J. Savlik of New Ringgold; sister, Rose Marie Stiles wife of Dave of Rahway, NJ; granddaughter, Kinsley Elizabeth Savlik; step daughter, Erin Jean Maxon; seven step-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive Michael.
Michael, served honorably during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He was a corporate pilot with multiple ratings and certifications for Mack Trucks for twenty-seven years, retiring from Carpenter Technology as their pilot.
Michael traveled extensively with his wife Barbara. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and large game hunting. Michael took great pride of working his property.
Born Friday, November 25, 1938 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the son of the late Michael George, and Mary E. (Vandak) Savlik.

A Remembrance Service will be held at 11 o'clock AM on Tuesday October 10, 2017 from the funeral home. Friends shall be received at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
Military honors will be bestowed on the morning of services at the funeral home.
Interment Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania.
