Michael Brett Sanute, Sr.

Michael Brett Sanute, Sr., 51 years of age, Father, Son, Brother & Friend of Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at home while in the care of family and friends.
A Weatherly High School graduate, Mike was a member of the basketball team and followed his passion for the game becoming a P.I. A.A. basketball referee. Mike served in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, canning the fruits of his harvest. Mike liked to search for Indian Artifacts, while exploring their native heritage.
Mike worked the past 7 plus years at General Dynamics Land Systems as a Toolmaker in Eynon, Pennsylvania. He played an integral role establishing the Veteran Committee within the company, serving as Chairman. The committee reached out to the community to assist all veterans. Mike belonged to the United Auto Workers #1193.
Born Thursday, November 7, 1963 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Pierce and Glennys (Tyler) Sanute of Weatherly.
Surviving in addition to his parents are:
Son,
Michael B. Sanute, Jr. of Weatherly;
Brother,
Pierce James Sanute of Philipsburg, PA.;
Many friends.
Mike's constant companion was his Beagle "ME".
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255.
A Life Celebration Services will be held on Friday evening April 10, 2015 from the funeral home at 7 o'clock P.M.
A Gathering of Friends shall take place at the funeral home from 4 to 7:00 P.M.
