Mr. Michael Sachon, age 87, of Coaldale, Pa., died Sunday, May 17, 2009, in his home on West Howard Ave. Coaldale, Pa.
Michael was a 1940 Coaldale High School graduate, and served in WWII with the US Army Air Corp.
A member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua, he belonged to the Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club, N.R.A., Berwick Boat Club, and Lehigh Fish and Game Assoc.
Michael retired from Consolidated Freight as a Truck Driver in 1974.
Born in Coaldale, he was the son of Alexander and the Justina (Bischak) Sachon.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Eleanor (Rabbas) Sachon;
Three Sisters,
Olga (Sachon) Tomasovich of Coaldale, Pa.
Marge (Sachon) Koch of Wilmington, Del.
Dorothy (Sachon) Cheslak of Philadelphia, Pa.;
One grandchild, Sean Sachon, and his wife Donna of South Carolina;
Two great-grandchildren, Jared and Katrina Sachon;
Daughter-in-law, Jeanette Sachon Neuroth of New Ringgold;
Nieces nad Nephews.
Preceded in deatn by his son on March 10, 2006, Rev. Michael D. Sachon.
