Michael H. "Mickey" Reis, of Weatherly, Pennsylvania died from injuries sustained in a single vehicle automobile accident on Monday, July 12, 2021, on the Stockton Road at 73 years of age.
Born Sunday, February 1, 1948 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of the late Charles, and Marie (Kaniecki) Reis.
A graduate of Jim Thorpe High School, Michael served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1970 until 1971 as an E-3. Michael retired from General Mills of Hazleton. A huge sports fan, Michael enjoyed playing softball, participating in a number of local leagues, and in his youth he liked racing his 57 Chevy.
Surviving are sons, Kevin M. Reis of Weatherly, Trevor D. Reis and his wife Joleen of Tamaqua; brother, Donald Reis and his wife Jody of Jim Thorpe; sister, Linda Shafer wife of Robert residing in Florida; grandchild, Jude Reis. Nieces and nephews also survive Michael.

A Celebration of Michael's life will be held on Tuesday July 20, 2021 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home. Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.
Interment with Military Honors to be bestowed will take place at Evergreen Cemetery Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania..
