Michael Protinick

Mr. Michael "PUTZ" Protinick, age 79, of 310 North Elizabeth Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Thursday, September 27, 2007, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa. He was the husband of Evelyn (Butcavage) Daukshus-Protinick and they were married for 38 years.

Born in Coaldale, PA he was the son of the late John Protinick and the late Julia (Ruszinko) Protinick.

Mr. Protinick was employed by PA Turnpike and a asst. Surveyor.

He was a member of SS. Peter & Pauls Catholic Church in Tamaqua where he was involved in the Holy Name Society. He was also a graduate of Coaldale High School, the Tamaqua Elks, Coaldale American Legion, the Coaldale Fire Company.

Mr. Protinick served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors:

Wife of 38 years Evelyn (Butcavage) Daukshus-Protinick.

Son-John Daukshus and his wife Mary Jean of Tamaqua, Pa.

4 Grandchildren
6 Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his sisters Anne Dobrosky, Julie Lutash, Helen Rabatta &
Marie Shaffer and brothers Frank Lutash, John Lutash.

Calling Hours Monday October 1st, 2007 from 9-10:30am at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home Inc. with a prayer service at 10:15am.

Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM from SS. Peter & Pauls RCC in Tamaqua, PA.

Masses & Memorials in his name can be made to the church.

Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul in Tamaqua, Pa.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., Tamaqua, Pa.
