Melva I. Lauer

Mrs. Melva I. (Kelshaw) Lauer, age 87, formerly of Weatherly, moved to the Evan Owens Apt.'s of Berwick in 2002, and took residence in the Berwick Retirememt Village in 2008, died Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the Berwick Retirement Village in Berwick.

A Weatherly High School graduate, Melva had worked at the former Laurytown Home as and L.P.N.. She was a member of Salem U.C.C. of Weatherly, and was and active member of the Weatherly Legion Aux..

Born in Weatherly, She was the daughter of the late James and the late Helen (Faust) Kelshaw.

She is survived by her

One Daughter,
Mrs. Marcia A. (Lauer) Kreischer wife of Pastor Larry H. of Bloomsburg, Pa.;

Two Sons,
John "Jack" K. Lauer and his wife Nancy of Hedgesville, W. Va.,
Dr. James H. Lauer and his wife Cheryl of Beaver, Pa.;

Six grandchildren
Two great-grandchildren;

Preceded in death by her husband, John K. Lauer; brother, Lionel Kelshaw

Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./Sup., where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 06, 2011.

Funeral service will be at Philip J. Jeffreis Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011, Pastor Larry H. Kreischer officiating.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
