Maurice "Mickey" K. Englehart, age 93, of 6th St., Weatherly, died Monday, August 31, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospice, Bethlehem.
He was the husband of LaVerne (Sarley) Englehart. They were married for 65 years.
Maurice had been a machine operator at StarParts.
A veteran of World War II, he served on the USS Mount Olympus in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He attained the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps before being honorably discharged.
Maurice had been past Master for the Masons.
He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church of Weatherly.
Born in Hazleton on September 27, 1921, he was the son of the late John E. Englehart and the late Margaret (Koch) Englehart.
He is also survived by his daughter, Kathleen wife of Joseph Kurtz of Weatherly; three grandchildren, Courtney McGee, Meghan Kurtz and Cody Kurtz; one great-grandchild, Ethan McGee.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First St. Weatherly, PA where the family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Thursday, September 3, 2015.
Funeral service will be at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 4, 2015, Pastor Charles Englehart and Rev. Richard "Dick" Sarley to officiate.
Interment with Military Honors will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
