Mrs. Mary C. (Comisac) Yelsh, age 97, of Moscow, Pa., died Thursday, October 7, 2010, at the Jewish Home of North East Pennsylvania in Scranton, Pa.
Mary, worked in various Textile companies until retiring, and was a member of St. Mary's Orthodox Church of Coaldale, Pa.. She was active in the Ladies Aide Society, and Good Samaritans of the church.
Born in R.D.#3 Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Michael and the Rose (Rosko) Comisac.
She is survived by her
One Daughter,
Mrs. Marion (Yelsh) Pickenheim wife of Ronald A. of Moscow, Pa., with whom she resided;
One Son,
William Yelsh, and his wife Lillian of Middletown, DE.;
Four grandchildren
Four great-grandchildren;
Many nieces and nephews;
Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Yelsh; brother's, Michael, John, and Stephen Comisac; sister Mrs. Ann Kononchuk on Feb. 02, 2007.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, October 11, 2010, at St. Mary's Orthodox Church 217 First Street Coaldale, Pa. 18218.
Funeral service will be at St. Mary's Orthodox Church at 11 o'clock AM Monday, October 11, 2010, the Very Reverend Paul Ropitsky officiating.
Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.
