Mrs. Mary H. (Capone) Pangonis, age 91, of Mahanoy City, died Monday, July 5, 2010, at the home of her daughter, in Tamaqua.
"Grammy" enjoyed cooking special recipes, shopping, visiting with her friends, sewing, and taking care of all of her family who loved her dearly. She was active and vibrant and defied her age.
A 1935 Mahanoy City High School graduate, Mary was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta R.C.C. of Mahanoy City. She retired after 44 years from the former Eagle Shirt Factory of Mahanoy City having served as a supervisor.
A member of the Church Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters, she was also a member of the Mahanoy City Social Club Aux.
Born in Mahanoy City, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Melusky) Capone.

Joanne (Pangonis) Kinder of Tamaqua;
Four grandchildren, Raymond J. Kinder and his wife Jennifer, Elizabeth Anne Kinder, Amy J. Leonard and her husband Gerald, Heather J. Kinder;
Six great grandchildren, Marcus, Olivia, Caden, Alina, Raymond, Gracie;
Preceded in death by her husband Jospeh J. Pangonis; sister, Josephine (Capone) Snyder.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta R.C.C. 614 West Mahanoy Street Mahanoy City, at 10:00 AM Friday, July 9, 2010, Rev. Kevin Gallagher officiating.
A calling hour will proceed the service from the church.
Private Interment will be at St. Joseph's R.C.C. Cemetery of Mahanoy City.
