Mary C (Brennan) Hoban, age 87, of E. Broad St., Tamaqua, died Friday, May 15, 2015, at Hometown Nursing Home, Tamaqua.
She was the widow of James J. Hoban who passed away in 1976.
Mary was a former church organist at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C., Tamaqua where she had also been a member of the choir.
She was a 1945 graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School.
Mary taught music to disabled children and she enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Born in Shenandoah on August 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Sneddon) Brennan.
She is survived by her
Sons,
James P. Hoban and his wife Nancy of Reading;
Thomas J. Hoban and his wife Deborah of Tamaqua;
Patrick J. Hoban and his wife Christina Tait of Hudson, OH;
Daughter,
Mary Ann Hoban Parra wife of Morris B. of Punta Gorda, FL;
Sister,
Rita Brennan Brown of W. Palm Beach, FL;
Eight Grandchildren;
Ten Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her Infant Son, Michael Hoban; brother, James Brennan; sister, Patricia Cloud.
Private Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa.
Interment at Sky View Memorial Park.
