Mary E (Berk) Heister, age 98, formerly of Lansford, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Spiritrust Lutheran Nursing Home in Shrewsbury, PA.
She was the widow of John Heister who died in 1954.
Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Francis Berk and the late Carrie (Smith) Berk.
She was Methodist by faith.
Mary had worked at Atlas Powder and the former Kiddie Kloes of Lansford.
She is survived by her
Daughter,
Dianne Karnish wife of Ted of New Freedom, PA;
Grandchild,
Keith Aaron and his wife Megan.
Preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Berk; Sisters, Esther Voccola and Grace Konski.
Private Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
